Years ago, in another life, I discovered falafel on a food truck near my job on Fifth and 43rd. It quickly became a daily delight. Thank goodness I found King of Falafel in Astoria so I don't have to schlepp downtown. I haven't eaten in, just taken out, but their platters and sandwiches are exactly as I remembered and have craved for lo these many years. The interior is very amusing, especially the floor decor. If you're into the best, crunchy, delectable falafel made with fresh ingredients, this is the place. Enjoy!

Price = Average | Service = Above average | Cleanliness = Average | Interior = Casual | Parking = Availability during late night Ordered the Omar plate for about ~$15 (I forgot exact) and a side of falafels for about ~$6 or so. As always, the Omar plate did not disappoint! This is my go to whether the street cart on 53rd & Park Ave or traveling all the way to Queens for their store restaurant. However, I was disappointed at the falafels. It was not fresh as it is always at the street cart. The one thing consistent was the free falafel while waiting for your food. I think I might keep me visits to the street carts as I typically do. 1 missing star for the falafels but Omar plate alone is worth all 4 stars!

Really great. I had stopped in once before to grab lunch, I ordered the beef shawarma sandwich. It was very good and filled with meat. I was nearby again and wanted a falafel sandwich but I also wanted meat (for protein) and they have a beef shawafel sandwich, which is a beef shawarma with falafel pieces in it as well. It was really good and that'll be my go to sandwich from now on but also looking forward to trying other items on their menu like the platters.

The hype is definitely real for those falafel lovers out there. Some of the most fresh and hot and tasty falafel is here and even when you're waiting in line for your food, they will serve hot falafels for you! I got the chicken platter which was so delicious but it also came with falafel on the side! I would definitely get again, this place is awesome, I just gotta trek to Astoria for it!

Amazing. Wonderful. Beautiful. Scrumptious. This is the best shawarma place around! Get the original chicken with garlic sauce if you aren't sure what to get, you won't regret it! WE LOVE PALESTINE FOREVER!

An excellent spot with delicious food and basic human morals/standards. The chicken pita pockets are my favorite--I go crazy with the white sauce and hot sauce and OMG, the hot sauce is actually hot. It's sooooo good. The rice and milk (ruz ou haleeb) is also very good. The service has always been excellent. Lastly, the ambiance is 10/10 and the best part about dining here. It feels so safe and welcoming to be surrounded by such beautiful Palestinian art and human rights advocacy.

Got a Shawarma Mix Meal yesterday and I was so impressed! I had some falafel in the past from this place and I remembered how good they were, so I finally went back and uhhhhh I should have done this before. Juicy, full of flavor but not overwhelming. Loved it. Definitely will come back and I strongly recommend this place!

King of falafel is the place to get an amazing falafel or shawarma fix. They were really quick with the service and it was very nice. Love the decor too the floor mats are a great touch. The food itself is to die for. Try the Astoria sub if you have trouble deciding what to get! It's delicious!
